Hi and welcome to my blog!
I am Janina, 21 years old and currently studying economics in Helsinki. I have been riding actively since I was six, before that I got to ride ponies now and then. All this time I've been riding mostly horses owned by my aunt, who also has helped me by taking me to shows and providing all this to me. I have competed on national level in showjumping, everything up to 110-115 cm classes.
Mostly the horses I rode were young horses, unexperienced or otherwise personalities that needed work before entering the ring. I love special horses and especially working with youngsters. That is actually one of the biggest reasons why I bought my first own horse ever in 2016 - an unborn foal. Of course I am trying to get back to the ring after an almost two years break due to my studies, and for that cause I am still working with my aunt's gelding Casher "Cassu". What is this blog about, then?
Well, I was quite actively blogging in 2012-2016, but then I lost interest and I did not really have anything to write about since I moved to Helsinki for my studies and quitted riding for the first fall semester.. Then I created my Instagram-account (link), and I found it very easy to use for posting stuff I do with the horses. A while ago I started missing writing out my thoughts about this and that, about future plans, about excercises and shows etc. Then the idea popped up, "should I continue blogging again?". Most of my insta followers liked the idea, and here we are, quite a while later though.. But let's give it a try at least!
On this blog you will read about Cassu and Hulda, my experiences and opinions in the equestrian world, thoughts about my "job" as a pony coach..the list is long. To put it briefly, this blog is all about thoughts from the standpoint as a rider, horse owner and trainer.
